About Me

Welcome to my little home here on the big, big world wide web. I love that you’ve come to spend some time with me. I am first and foremost a daughter of the King. I love God more than anything in the world and strive to, daily, become more and more the woman He has in mind for me to be. What a wonderful journey it is. Sometimes amazingly wonderful and other times excruciatingly difficult, but He never said it would be easy. He just said He’d be there with me the whole time. And He is.

I am married to my very best friend, Jason. We are complete opposites and it works ~most times (let’s be honest here, marriage has its challenges). He is outgoing and loud. I am introverted and quiet (mostly – unless you really, really know me). We balance each other out. We live in northern Alberta, are renovating our 1946 home and own the little house beside ours, which we affectionately call The Urban Cottage and run it as an AirBnB.

Jason and I had two beautiful miracles in our lives. Mikail was our four and a half year old Brave Warrior Boy. He brought us quiet joy in his sensitive caring way each and every day until he unexpectedly passed away on January 23, 2015, waking up at the feet of Jesus. You can read his story by following the link at the top of the blog titled ‘Mikail’s Story’.

Olivia is ten years old and she is our Spirited Girl. She brings a lot of exuberant joy into our family. She is hilariously funny, has a huge heart filled with compassion and empathy far beyond her age.

When I am not busy with my family, I love to write and encourage others in their life through my writing. Recently I published my first Scripture Writing Journal as well as an advent devotional for the grieving heart.

I am learning how to DREAM BIG because God has God-sized dreams for us. Won’t you join me on this adventure? Follow the blog. Check me out on Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram. Join me on this journey and be encouraged that we serve an awesome God who desires for us to live abundantly in Him.
